The MONET Project

MONET (http://www.uni-sw.gwdg.de/~hessman/MONET/) is building two 1.2-m aperture telescopes, one to be placed in Texas, the other in South Africa. They also bring experience of writing protocols for specifying observations. Rick Hessman (http://www.uni-sw.gwdg.de/~hessman/), the project manager, was one of the main developers of Remote Telescope Markup Language (RTML), which was the protocol eSTAR adopted and developed for negotiation between intelligent agents.
